Chad Schilling – Owner/Operator
Meet Lund Pro, Chad Schilling, and co-owner of Oahe Wings & Walleyes. When asking any of our clients that have hunted or fished with Chad, there is one thing that you hear over and over again. “He is always so happy and positive and seems to have so much fun doing what he loves!” That never ending enthusiasm is so contagious! He loves hunting and fishing and even on his days off, he will be found on the water or out in the field. Can you say die hard outdoorsman?!? In Chads younger years, he loved to fish the professional walleye circuit with much success! He was awarded 2007 Professional Walleye Tour Rookie of the Year, 2012 FLW Angler of the Year and was a top ten qualifier for both the 2015 and 2016 season in the Cabelas National Walleye Fishing Tour Championships. But as his kids got older, he decided to stay home and enjoy spending time with his family and growing his business. Now he enjoys fishing a few local tournaments with his daughter and fishing the Casino team tournaments with his son Beau!
Beau Schilling – Guide
Beau, born in 2006, has been helping his Dad guide since he was in elementary school. I can remember him out in the field with Chad when he was in first grade, carrying a bb gun just like the “guys”. Then in the summer, he would be on the boat making sure the clients didn’t have to bait their own hooks and would he would be the first to grab the net! And since his freshman year in high school, has taken on a larger role in the summer with his own boat to guide clients. He has developed his Dads love for the outdoors and became quite the fisherman/hunter in his own right! Beau has developed a competitive streak and spends endless hours on the water after he is done guiding to hone his fishing techniques. He lives to outfish his Dad! Chad and he have quite the healthy competition going, especially when it comes to local tournaments! Beau has a great personality, a tad quieter demeanor than his Dad, but absolutely loves people. His quiet side definitely goes away though when there is a big fish on!! His patience is very enduring and he never gives up on those tougher days, still ensuring the clients are enjoying themselves. Beau plans to continue on with the family business once graduated.
Sam Schilling – Guide Assistant aka Boat Girl
Sam, born in 2005, has become quite the boat girl over the past couple years and even had a few days guiding clients on her own! She has a sweet personality and contagious smile. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that she is one heck of a fisherman and one hell of a shooter! She has somehow gotten that competitive streak that her brother and Dad have too. She absolutely loves chatting and getting to know the clients when on the water. She has the gift for gab just like her Dad! Sam looks forward to fishing the local tourneys with her Dad competing against her brother! When she is not helping guide in the summer, she can be found at the river with her dog Ringo! Sam plans on attending university after high school and majoring in biology with a business minor so she can help her brother on the business end in the future once her parents retire.
Brad Schilling – Guide
Brad, a.k.a, Buckley, has an easy demeanor and quick wit that keep the clients coming back for more. He is a great entertainer and can catch fish with the best of them. He threatens to retire one of these days, but his daughter in law says, “Why, when you will fish everyday anyway if you weren’t working!” He also is a big help in the fall carting our guides and clients around the field and taking care of the dogs after each walk. In the fall, his official title is “Field Transportation Specialist and Canine Hydrologist”.
Hunter Friend – Guide and Guide Assistant “Boat Boy”
Hunter is a newer addition to the Oahe Wings & Walleyes family. He is a quick study and absolutely loves the outdoors. Always wanting to learn new techniques to help him improve on his fishing and so willing to give a helping hand no matter what the task! He will be running his own pontoon for the 2025 season! We are so thankful to have him!
Ben Beadle – Guide
Ben started out his tenure with Oahe Wings & Walleyes as a “boat boy” and now has his own pontoon. He too, works so hard in the after hours honing his fishing skills. He has a laid back personality and a laugh that is contagious, along with a smirk that make you wonder what secret he is hiding. His hardwork ethic and can do attitude make him a great person to take out clients to fish. He never stops helping the clients throughout the day ensuring their trip is a success! He knows what the clients need before they even know what they need!
Brian – Guide
Brian is the most recent addition to our fishing and hunting family. He lived in the southeastern part of South Dakota for several years and has recently moved back to his family farm with his wife Brooke. He owns Kirschman Ag Service LLC, but we are blessed that he helps us out during our busy season as well. Brian is a great fisherman and has an outstanding personality. Our clients have loved having him take them out this summer. 2024 was his first summer helping us and we look forward to many, many more seasons in the future!
Rick Haux – Guide
Rick guides for us part time and boy do clients love him! He is the best joke teller that I have ever met and keeps the clients in stitches throughout the day. He loves pulling bottom bouncers and spinners and is pretty darn good at it! There will always be “boat loads” of laughter when fishing with Rick.
